About Stitchi

Stitchi helps Marketing and HR teams create and deliver thoughtful branded merchandise for events, onboarding, recognition, and gifting. We bring creative direction, sourcing, production, storage, and fulfillment together, supported by software that keeps the work organized. Based in Detroit, we help companies make products people want to use and keep.

About the role

You’ll turn client briefs into merchandise concepts, clear product mockups, and accurate artwork for production. This role combines design judgment with careful file preparation. You’ll work with the account team to present ideas and with Production to make sure approved designs can be made as intended.

What you’ll do

  • Develop merchandise graphics and product concepts that fit each client’s brand, audience, budget, and intended use.
  • Create product mockups and presentation visuals that show artwork placement, scale, color, and relevant details accurately.
  • Adapt supplied brand assets across apparel, accessories, packaging, and other merchandise while preserving their integrity.
  • Prepare production artwork to supplier specifications, including file formats, dimensions, color references, and required layouts.
  • Check artwork for issues such as low resolution, missing fonts, incorrect sizing, or details that may not reproduce well.
  • Work with Production and suppliers to understand decoration constraints and resolve technical questions before files are finalized.
  • Review supplier proofs against approved designs, flag discrepancies, and route changes through the account team for client approval.
  • Keep source files, exports, and revisions organized so everyone can identify the approved version.

What you’ll bring

  • A portfolio showing thoughtful design and the ability to carry an idea through to a finished physical product or production-ready artwork.
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator skills and working knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Good judgment with typography, composition, color, and applying a brand consistently.
  • Experience preparing artwork for print or merchandise production, with an understanding of vector and raster files.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage feedback, revisions, and several deadlines.
  • Clear communication about design choices, technical limitations, and what you need to finish the work.
  • Experience with apparel graphics, screen printing, embroidery artwork preparation, packaging, or promotional products is helpful.

What success looks like

Clients can understand and evaluate the ideas presented. Approved artwork matches the brief, suppliers receive usable files, and avoidable production revisions decrease. Design decisions and versions are easy to trace.

How we work

We take ownership, communicate clearly, and close the loop. We raise problems early, bring options, and improve how the work gets done. Craft, reliable follow-through, and respectful feedback matter here.
